“Time spent amongst trees is never wasted time” – Katrina Mayer

Wood is a better choice for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, air and water pollution, and other negative effects. Steel and concrete, the most often used building materials, require 12 percent and 20% more energy, respectively, and release 15% and 29% more greenhouse emissions. Their use also emits 10% and 12% more pollutants into the air, as well as 300 percent and 225 percent more water pollutants, respectively, than wood.

According to life cycle evaluation, it helps to reduce energy consumption across the life cycle of growth, harvest, transportation, manufacture, and construction when compared to other structural building goods (LCA).

It can help to increase energy efficiency since wood is a good insulator and has a cellular structure that allows for air pockets, which helps to delay heat conductivity.

Wooden products can store carbon, which helps to prevent climate change while also providing a good alternative to materials that require a lot of fossil fuels to create.

Using wood encourages the growth of additional trees and boosts our carbon storage capacity by making it more economical for forest owners to continue managing their property sustainably.
