Sawdust is a major waste in almost all the industries which deal with wooden products. Especially in Channapatna, most of the workshops do not use sawdust. Our company intends to collect the sawdust from such workshops and utilize it after compressing it into plywood. Deforestation can also be reduced by recycling or reusing old wood. Aranyam plans to collect household wooden waste (e.g. broken or old furniture). The company plans to have a network of kiosks and a chain of doorstep collection to collect the waste wood. The doorstep facility and a chain of kiosks would make the process of recycling convenient and accessible. This wood will further be processed and would be sent to industries which demand such wood.
